This book is more than words.

It is presence.

It honors:

• the bond we share with animals

• the lessons they gift us

• the grief that shapes us

• the love that remains forever

It is a companion through sorrow and a lantern in dark emotional spaces.

About the Book

The passing of your beloved pet is sad, raw, and difficult, but being a part of the end of the circle of life for animals has been amongst Dr. Christin Finn’s greatest honors. This book is for everyone who has ever felt the grief of the loss of a pet. It is Christin’s heartfelt wish to show you that there can be many gifts and so much beauty along with the heartbreak and grief in the loss of an animal. Throughout her thirty years of practice, Christin has been committed to what she would call the heart of veterinary medicine: giving special attention to the end of the circle of life. She actively supports owners and their animals at these times. She shares some of the touching stories of her life while serving these animals and their dedicated loved ones. These stories are meant to demonstrate some of the beauty and gifts at the end of the circle of life, celebrating pets’ lives while honoring the moments when you feel sad. Christin hopes that you can allow the grace of her messages to speak to your heart. Your story with your animal may not be in this book, but by leaning on the wisdom of others, you can begin the long path to healing.
