Rowen Smith

Rowen Smith, affectionately known as Soo Soo, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Kingston, Washington, cradled in the loving arms of his papa. Born on May 1, 2015, in the quaint town of Ashland, Oregon, Rowen graced the world for a decade, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and spirited mischief.

Rowen was known not just as a cherished companion but also as a valiant guardian of the neighborhood, tirelessly keeping the squirrels at bay while ensuring that the local postman remained on his toes. His sassy and brassy personality endeared him to all those fortunate enough to encounter him, making every day an adventure filled with joy and unexpected delight.

Education, for Rowen, was the art of leisure as he proudly held the title of "Lazy Boy." This reflected his playful nature, ever content to bask in the sun or laze about while regaling those around him with tales of his exploits. Rowen had an uncanny knack for imparting wisdom, embodied in one piece of sage advice: one should never go outside in the rain without their shoes on. Such insights formed the tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished by those who loved him.

Rowen leaves behind two devoted adoptive daddies, John Dills and Jason Dugan, who showered him with love and companionship throughout his time with them. Their bond was a testament to the incredible joy and unity that he brought into their lives.

In honor of Rowen's spirited life, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Green Burial Pet Sanctuary in Kingston, WA, on the evening of September 9, 2025. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather and share their stories, paying tribute to the joyful spirit of a beloved furry friend who lived life to the fullest.
